Besides enjoying the famous wine sorts and pairing them with delicious food, this is also a journey through the homeland and its traditions, through the vineyards and wine cellars, along with their owners, the wine-growers, the leading characters of this special experience for all of your senses.

The Idea

This tour will take you from the coast to the inland. As we get farther from the coastline, we will witness the changing of the landscape and its microclimate.

Consequently, astonishing differences occur in the vineyards as well. Join us and learn more about it first-hand!

About the Tour

Dalmatia is getting recognized globally for its wine varieties. The region is so diverse, that it offers so much for wine lovers and those who want to become ones.

During this tour we will take you to different wineries where you will be offered tastings and educational part of the visit. When in teams, the special workshop and final tests will be organized as well, so pay attention to the details!

DALMATIA IS HOME TO EXQUISITE WINE SORTS

There is no other region of Croatia that boasts such richness of wine sorts and their exquisite style and variety like Dalmatia. The number of authentic sorts is higher than all other authentic sorts of the rest of Croatia combined. The worldwide awards from renowned world competitions have recognized this potential and voted numerous Dalmatian wines as the highest achievers. At the British Decanter competition, Dalmatia regularly wins more rewards than any other region in this part of Europe.

All this proves the quality and genuine character of Dalmatian winemaking. Some of the most famous sorts include Dingač, Pošip, Babić, Debit, Zinfandel, Grk, Maraštin, Plavina, Tribidrag and many others.

On this exciting journey, the participants will have an opportunity to meet the winemakers personally at their wine estates. They will show you their cellars, and share their knowledge about the history, tradition and experience of the specific and authentic winemaking that comes from the specifics of this land. Getting to know the winemaker’s story is one of the most valuable inside glimpses into another world colored by hard work, times long gone by, and this magnificent region that leaves nobody untouched.
